Ø archive: textile artifact pieces collected globally and made into new one-off pieces.
Ø 2: men’s tees, shirts, jackets and denim, deconstructed, repaired and restyled as gender-neutral into new pieces.
design
archive design started with a piece of decorative textile. a base cloth chosen. silhouette patterned, fit and cut. stitch work designed and applied. the garment assembled, 1 piece at a time.
assemblage was by machine with hand finishings.
make
repair and decoration was primarily by hand. base cloth appliqué by machine.
studio culture and practice
the work culture was based on a single social agreement. trust and support for each others life and work.
